Apatani Proverbs

Apatani Proverbs on Family

“Paker pamer milo miilo”
Too much argument among one’s own family destroys the whole home.

“Puko puro hirung lala”
When wild beasts show off their strength, they attract the attention of hunters.

“Adang tobi apii tobi mi ahii tella”
When we lose focus, we forget our main purpose.

These traditional Apatani proverbs carry deep wisdom for families today. Many couples struggle because they fail to understand each other — instead of supporting one another, they end up arguing and competing. But the Bible reminds us that “two are better than one” (Ecclesiastes 4:9), for together they can accomplish more and help each other in times of trouble.

When a family walks in unity, love, and humility, their home becomes strong and unshakable.
