 Living with Purpose in the Present Opening Scripture: "Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom."– Psalm 90:12 Introduction: Church, how often do we find ourselves caught in the whirlwind of past regrets or future worries? We’re either dwelling on what could have been or stressing about what might be. But today, God is calling us to something greater—to live with purpose in the present moment. The present is a gift from God, and it is where His grace, love, and calling meet us. 1. Recognizing the Gift of the Present The Bible tells us in James 4:14, "You do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes."This verse isn’t meant to discourage us but to remind us of the fleeting nature of time.
