“THE KINGDOM OF GOD: GOD’S RULE IN OUR LIVES” INTRODUCTION Praise the Lord, Church. Today I want to speak about the most important message Jesus ever preached — the Kingdom of God . Jesus did not come only to start a religion. He did not come only to build churches. He came to announce a Kingdom. “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the gospel.” — Mark 1:15 Many people think the Kingdom of God is only heaven after death. But Jesus said, “The Kingdom has come near.” That means it is present now , and yet greater glory is still coming . POINT 1: THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS ABOUT RULE, NOT A PLACE The Kingdom of God is God’s rule , God’s authority , God’s kingship . “For the kingdom of God is not food and drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.” — Romans 14:17 Let me explain this with a village example.
