God Gives Power to Get Wealth Text: Deuteronomy 8:18 Introduction People often think wealth comes from their hard work, education, or smart ideas. But the Bible clearly says: “It is He that gives you power to get wealth.” Our success and provision are tied to God’s covenant and purpose. Main Points 1. Remember the Source (Faithfulness) “But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God…” Danger: Prosperity can make us forget God. (Deut. 8:11–14) Example: Israel in the wilderness — God provided manna, water, and clothes that never wore out. Application: Acknowledge God daily in your work, business, and resources. 2. Prophetic Church

1. Foundation in Christ A true prophetic church is built on Jesus Christ as the cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20). The church is described as being “built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets,” meaning its role is to reveal and declare God’s Word in Christ. 2. Prophetic Purpose In the Bible, prophecy is not only predicting the future but also speaking God’s heart, will, and counsel . Foretelling – revealing future events as God leads (Acts 11:27–28; Agabus’ prophecy of famine). Forth-telling – declaring God’s truth, calling people to repentance, holiness, and alignment with God’s will (Jeremiah, Amos, John the Baptist). A prophetic church does both: it discerns God’s direction and applies it to today. 3.
