Social media can amplify “difficult times” by spreading anxiety, fear, and misinformation quickly. It creates a constant stream of pressure, comparison, and conflict—modern “last-days” stress. Verse 2: "For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive…" Social media encourages self-centeredness : endless selfies, curated posts, and obsession with likes/followers. Lovers of money appear in influencer culture, where everything is monetized. Pride, arrogance, abusive behavior show up in trolling, cancel culture, and online bullying.
