Walking in God’s Purpose — Lessons from David and the Ark** The story of David bringing the Ark of the Covenant back to Jerusalem (2 Samuel 6) is more than just a historical moment—it reveals deep truths about God’s purpose in our lives. 1. God's Presence is Central to Our Purpose The Ark represented God’s presence. David knew that without it, Israel could not truly fulfill its destiny as God’s chosen people. Application: Just as David prioritized God’s presence, we must center our lives around Him. God's purpose begins with relationship, not performance. 2. **Delays and Detours Are Not Denials After Uzzah died, David paused the mission and left the Ark at **Obed-Edom’s house**. This seemed like a setback, but it was part of God's process. Application: When we face delays in life, it doesn’t mean God’s purpose is cancelled.
