 “The Strength, The Shield, and The Song” Text “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.” Introduction Life brings battles—financial pressure, ministry burdens, family struggles, and spiritual warfare. But this verse shows us a believer’s journey: From struggle → to trust → to help → to joy → to praise. 1. The Source of Strength – “The Lord is my strength” David does not say “I am strong” —he says God is my strength . Human strength fails, but God’s strength never runs out. When you are tired, overwhelmed, or discouraged—God becomes your energy. Application: Stop depending only on your own ability, experience, or resources. In ministry, business, and family life—lean on God daily. 2. The Protection of God – “My shield” A shield is for defense—it blocks attacks.
