Fear to Faith
“From Fear to Faith: The Journey of Gideon” Text: Judges 6–7 Introduction: We often feel unworthy or incapable when God calls us. Gideon’s story reminds us that God uses ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things. 1. God Calls the Weak (Judges 6:11–16) Key verse: “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.” (v.12) Points: Gideon was hiding from the enemy when God called him. He saw himself as the least, but God saw a warrior. Application: God doesn’t call the qualified; He qualifies the called. 2. Faith Needs Assurance (Judges 6:17–40) Key verse: “If now I have found favor in your eyes, give me a sign...” (v.17) Points: Gideon asked for signs — not once, but multiple times. God was patient with him, confirming His will with the fleece. Application: It’s okay to seek clarity from God—but stay willing to obey. 3.
