What Will Happen to Our Loans and Belongings After the Rapture?

📖 “What Will Happen to Our Loans and Belongings After the Rapture?”

Texts:

  • 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17

  • Romans 13:8

  • Matthew 6:19–21

1. The Reality of the Rapture

  • 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 – “The dead in Christ will rise first… then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together… to meet the Lord in the air.”

  • The rapture is sudden, real, and for those in Christ.

  • It is about people being taken, not possessions.

👉 Key Point: Salvation depends on your relationship with Christ, not on your bank balance or loan status.

2. What Happens to Our Possessions?

  • Houses, lands, cars, and even bank accounts will be left behind.

  • Matthew 6:19–20 – “Do not lay up treasures on earth… but lay up treasures in heaven.”

  • The rapture strips away the illusion of earthly ownership—everything here is temporary.

👉 Illustration: When the Israelites left Egypt, they carried only what God allowed. Similarly, at the rapture, we carry nothing of this world—only our soul and eternal reward.

3. What About Loans and Debts?

  • Romans 13:8 – “Owe no one anything, except to love each other.”

  • Financial contracts are part of earthly systems. When a believer is taken, the debt remains in the system.

  • Banks, governments, and unbelieving relatives will deal with the chaos.

👉 Application: Being faithful stewards before Christ’s return is important, but loans will not decide your rapture readiness.

4. The Coming Economic Chaos

  • Imagine millions disappearing—mortgages unpaid, jobs unfinished, businesses abandoned.

  • This chaos will open the door for a new global system of control.

  • Revelation 13:16–17 – “No one can buy or sell unless he has the mark.”

  • The Antichrist will use financial collapse to demand loyalty and worship.

👉 Warning: If anyone is left behind, they will face not only judgment but also this economic slavery.

5. Our True Treasure

  • Matthew 6:21 – “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

  • Our security is not in property, savings, or being debt-free, but in Christ alone.

  • Being ready means keeping our hearts pure, our faith strong, and our eyes on Jesus.

Conclusion & Call

  • Believer: Do not fear loans or property loss; focus on being faithful to Christ. Live responsibly, but remember, your soul is your true wealth.

  • Unbeliever: If you are not in Christ, you will be left behind with the world’s debts and destruction. Now is the time to repent and believe in Jesus.

👉 Final Verse: John 14:3 – “I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there you may be also.”
