Rapture and Last Revival

"Davidic worship" and "rapture" are two powerful biblical themes, and while they seem different, they are actually deeply connected in the flow of God’s redemptive plan. Let me explain both and then tie them together.

Davidic Worship

  • Biblical Root: Worship modeled after King David, often associated with passionate, extravagant, and Spirit-led adoration of God.

  • Characteristics:

    • Intimacy with God: David’s psalms express raw emotions—joy, sorrow, repentance, and praise (Psalm 23, 27, 51, 150).

    • Musical & Prophetic: Instruments, singing, and prophetic declarations (1 Chronicles 25:1).

    • Tabernacle of David: Unlike the Mosaic tabernacle filled with rituals and sacrifices, David established a tent in Jerusalem where the Ark of the Covenant rested, and there was 24/7 praise and worship (1 Chronicles 16:4-6).

    • Freedom & Dance: David danced before the Lord with all his might (2 Samuel 6:14).

👉 This worship style is about hosting God’s presence continuously, preparing hearts to love Him deeply.

The Rapture

  • Definition: The “catching away” of believers to meet Christ in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).

  • Key Aspects:

    • The trumpet of God will sound, the dead in Christ will rise first, and then living believers will be caught up.

    • The rapture is a sudden, glorious event that gathers the Bride of Christ to Himself.

    • It marks the beginning of the transition into the end-time events and eventually the Millennial Kingdom.

Connection Between Davidic Worship & the Rapture

  1. Preparation of the Bride: Davidic worship trains believers to love the Bridegroom wholeheartedly. When we worship with passion and intimacy, our hearts long for His coming.

    • Song of Songs 2:10 – “Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.”

  2. Atmosphere of Expectancy: Continuous praise (like in David’s tabernacle) creates a people ready for the sudden appearing of Christ. Worship keeps our lamps burning like the wise virgins (Matthew 25:1-13).

  3. Prophetic Worship & the Trumpet: Davidic worship often involved trumpets, shofars, and proclamations. Similarly, the rapture is marked by the sound of the trumpet—a prophetic fulfillment (1 Thessalonians 4:16).

  4. End-Time Restoration: Amos 9:11 says, “In that day I will restore David’s fallen tent.” Many believe this points to a last-days movement of passionate worship across the nations, preparing the Church for Christ’s return.

  5. Heavenly Continuity: In Revelation, the worship of heaven resembles Davidic worship—harps, songs, spontaneous praise. The rapture brings us fully into that eternal worship scene.

In short: Davidic worship is the lifestyle of intimacy and adoration that prepares the Church (the Bride) for the rapture. It keeps us watching, burning with love, and ready to hear the trumpet call.

Davidic worship, the rapture, and economic conditions. Let’s look at it biblically and prophetically.

1. Economic Conditions in David’s Time (Davidic Worship Context)

  • David’s Kingdom: Under David (and later Solomon), Israel experienced prosperity, expansion, and wealth.

  • Tabernacle Worship: Sacrificial worship and 24/7 praise required resources (musicians, instruments, offerings). This shows that when God’s presence is honored, provision flows.

  • Principle: Worship brings alignment with God’s kingdom, which often releases blessing and sustenance even in difficult times (Psalm 37:25).

2. Economic Conditions in the Last Days (Rapture Context)

The Bible prophesies difficult and unstable economies before Christ’s return:

  • Scarcity & Inflation: Revelation 6:6 – “A quart of wheat for a denarius…” (basic food at luxury prices, symbol of hyperinflation).

  • Buying & Selling Controlled: Revelation 13:17 – No one can buy or sell without the mark of the beast.

  • False Security: 1 Thessalonians 5:3 – “When they say, ‘Peace and safety!’ then sudden destruction comes.”

  • Global Shaking: Haggai 2:6-8 – God will shake the nations, but the silver and gold are His.

👉 This means before the rapture, the world economy will be shaken, creating fear and control mechanisms.

3. How Davidic Worship Relates to Economic Conditions

  • Provision in Worship: When Israel worshipped in David’s order, God established peace and prosperity. Worship shifts focus from fear of lack to trust in Jehovah Jireh.

  • Kingdom Economy: Worship aligns us with the eternal economy of heaven. Jesus said, “Seek first the kingdom of God… and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).

  • Joy in Hardship: Davidic worship sustains believers emotionally and spiritually even when external conditions collapse. Paul and Silas sang hymns in prison (Acts 16:25), and God released them.

4. Economic Hope for Believers Before the Rapture

  • Protection & Provision: Psalm 91 and Psalm 37 emphasize God’s care for the righteous in times of famine.

  • Transfer of Wealth: Proverbs 13:22 – “The wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.” Some believe God will release resources into the hands of His worshipping, faithful people before the rapture to fund the gospel.

  • Living Lightly: Jesus warned against storing up treasures on earth (Matthew 6:19-21) because economic systems will collapse. Worship teaches us to treasure His presence over possessions.

Summary:

  • Davidic Worship = Heaven’s economy → joy, provision, presence.

  • Last Days Economy = Earth’s economy → shaking, control, scarcity.

  • The Rapture = God’s final rescue, taking His worshipping Bride out before the full wrath and collapse.

A very important question—which comes first: the restoration of Davidic worship, or the rapture?

Let’s look at it carefully through Scripture.

1. The Restoration of Davidic Worship Comes First

  • Prophecy: Amos 9:11 – “In that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen…”

  • Fulfillment: Acts 15:16-17 quotes this prophecy, connecting it to the gospel going to the nations.
👉 This means before the rapture, God is restoring intimate, Spirit-filled, Davidic-style worship in the Church worldwide.

  • Result: Worship prepares the Bride for Jesus. It builds passion, holiness, and expectancy.

2. The Rapture Comes After

  • Sequence in Scripture:

    • Matthew 24:14 – “This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come.”

    • 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 – Only after the gospel and the great end-time move of God do we see the rapture event.

  • Reason: The Bride must be made ready (Revelation 19:7). Davidic worship is one of God’s main tools to prepare her.

3. Economic Conditions Interwoven

  • Before the rapture, economic shaking increases (Revelation 6, 13).

  • At the same time, Davidic worship is rising—so that God’s people learn to depend on heaven’s economy, not the world’s.

  • This makes worship both a refuge and a weapon in times of economic turmoil.

Clear Order from Scripture:

  1. Restoration of Davidic Worship (now happening worldwide).

  2. Global economic shaking (already visible, will intensify).

  3. The Rapture of the Church (when the Bride is ready).
