🌿 “Abraham’s Trust: God Teaches Kings”

📖 Text: Jeremiah 17:7

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.”

1️⃣ Abraham Trusted in the Lord, Not in Man

When God called Abraham, He said,

“Leave your country and your people and go to the land I will show you.” (Genesis 12:1)

Abraham didn’t know where he was going — but he trusted the One who called him.
That is real faith — when you don’t know the path, but you know the Shepherd.

👉 True trust is not about knowing what will happen, but knowing Who is in control.

2️⃣ Abraham Faced Fear, Yet God Remained Faithful

When Abraham went down to Egypt, he told Pharaoh that Sarah was his sister (Genesis 12:10–20).
From a human perspective, it looked like a mistake — perhaps even fear.
But even in that weakness, Abraham did not lose his trust that God would protect him and his wife.

And what did God do?

  • God Himself intervened.

  • He warned Pharaoh in dreams and sent plagues upon his house.

  • Pharaoh returned Sarah untouched and honored Abraham.

👉 When we trust God, He takes responsibility for our protection.
He can speak to kings, rulers, and people in authority — to defend His children.

3️⃣ God Taught the King, Not Abraham

Later, in Genesis 20, Abraham again faced a similar situation with King Abimelech.
Abimelech took Sarah, thinking she was Abraham’s sister.
But God appeared to the king in a dream and said,

“You are a dead man… for the woman you have taken is a man’s wife.” (Genesis 20:3)

Imagine that — God Himself spoke to a king to protect His servant’s wife!
He didn’t rebuke Abraham first; He taught the king what was right.

💡 This shows us that when you belong to God, He can even instruct powerful people for your sake.
Your obedience and trust move Heaven to act on your behalf.

4️⃣ The Reward of Trust — Covenant and Blessing

Abraham’s life was a journey of growing faith:

  • He trusted God for a son when it seemed impossible.

  • He trusted God even when asked to sacrifice Isaac.

Paul writes in Romans 4:20–21:

“He did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith, giving glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised.”

👉 Because Abraham trusted, God called him “the father of faith.”
His trust brought blessing to generations — including us.

5️⃣ The Lesson for Us Today

  • As husbands and wives, we must trust and love each other deeply — but our ultimate trust must be in God.

  • People may fail, but God never fails.

  • When we put our confidence in Him, He speaks, protects, and works in ways we cannot see.

Just as He protected Sarah, He can protect our homes, our marriages, and our future.

🕊️ When you trust God first, He teaches even kings on your behalf.

Conclusion

Jeremiah said:

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.”

Abraham lived that truth.
He trusted God through uncertainty, and God turned every test into testimony.

If you trust Him fully — even when you don’t understand — He will defend you, guide you, and bring His promises to pass.

Closing Prayer

“Lord, give us the faith of Abraham — a faith that does not waver when we don’t see the answer.
Teach us to rely on You above every human strength.
Thank You that when we trust You, You speak for us, You fight for us, and You bless us.
Help us to build our homes, our marriages, and our future on You alone.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

"अब्राहम का भरोसा: परमेश्वर सिखाता है, मनुष्य नहीं"

📖 आधार वचन: यिर्मयाह 17:7

“धन्य है वह मनुष्य जो यहोवा पर भरोसा रखता है, और जिसकी आशा यहोवा ही है।”

1️⃣ अब्राहम का भरोसा परमेश्वर में था, न कि मनुष्यों में

अब्राहम को परमेश्वर ने बुलाया — “अपने देश और अपने कुटुम्ब को छोड़, उस देश में जा जिसे मैं तुझे दिखाऊँगा” (उत्पत्ति 12:1)।
वह नहीं जानता था कि कहाँ जाना है, परन्तु उसने विश्वास किया और चल पड़ा।

👉 यही सच्चा भरोसा है — जब हम रास्ता नहीं जानते, परन्तु चलनेवाले को जानते हैं।

2️⃣ अब्राहम ने परिस्थितियों से नहीं, परमेश्वर से देखा

जब अब्राहम मिस्र गया, उसने अपनी पत्नी सारा को “बहन” कहकर राजा के हाथों सौंप दिया (उत्पत्ति 12:10–20)।
यह इंसानी दृष्टि से डर या गलती लग सकती है, पर परमेश्वर ने उस स्थिति में भी नियंत्रण रखा।

  • अब्राहम ने यह भरोसा नहीं खोया कि परमेश्वर उसकी रक्षा करेगा।

  • और परमेश्वर ने स्वयं राजा फ़िरौन को स्वप्न और संकट के द्वारा चेताया —
    ताकि वह सारा को छू भी न सके।

👉 यहाँ हम सीखते हैं —
जब हम परमेश्वर पर भरोसा करते हैं, तो वह स्वयं हमारे लिए बोलेगा, हमारे लिए लड़ेगा, और दूसरों को भी सिखाएगा।

3️⃣ परमेश्वर ने राजा को सिखाया, न कि अब्राहम को दोष दिया

परमेश्वर ने राजा को कहा कि वह अब्राहम की पत्नी को लौटा दे, क्योंकि वह एक नबी है (उत्पत्ति 20:7)।
सोचिए — परमेश्वर ने एक राजा को सिखाया कि वह एक विश्वासी व्यक्ति की पत्नी को छू न सके।

💡 इससे पता चलता है कि जब हम परमेश्वर के हाथों में हैं, तो वह दुनिया के शक्तिशाली लोगों को भी हमारे कारण रोक सकता है।

4️⃣ भरोसे का परिणाम — आशीर्वाद और वाचा

अब्राहम का भरोसा केवल एक बार नहीं था — उसने जीवनभर परमेश्वर पर भरोसा रखा:

  • जब उसे पुत्र का वचन मिला, उसने विश्वास किया।

  • जब उसे इसहाक को बलिदान करने को कहा गया, तब भी उसने विश्वास किया कि परमेश्वर फिर भी जीवित करेगा।

📖 रोमियों 4:20–21 कहता है:

“उसने अविश्वास से परमेश्वर के प्रतिज्ञा पर सन्देह न किया, परन्तु विश्वास में दृढ़ होकर परमेश्वर की महिमा की, और निश्चय किया कि जो कुछ परमेश्वर ने कहा है, वह उसे पूरा भी कर सकता है।”

5️⃣ आज के लिए सीख

  • पति-पत्नी को एक-दूसरे पर भरोसा रखना चाहिए, परन्तु सबसे ऊपर परमेश्वर पर।

  • जब परिस्थितियाँ कठिन हों, जब गलतफहमी या डर हो — तब याद रखो,
    परमेश्वर तुम्हारे लिए बोल सकता है, सिखा सकता है, और रक्षा कर सकता है।

🕊️ जैसे उसने अब्राहम और सारा की रक्षा की, वैसे ही वह आज भी अपने भरोसेमंद लोगों की रक्षा करता है।

समापन प्रार्थना

“हे प्रभु, हमें अब्राहम जैसा भरोसा दे — ऐसा भरोसा जो किसी स्थिति या भय से डगमगाए नहीं।
हमें यह सिखा कि जब हम तुझ पर निर्भर होते हैं, तब तू स्वयं हमारे लिए लड़ता और सिखाता है।
हमारे घर, हमारे विवाह, और हमारे जीवन को अपने वचन के अनुसार सुरक्षित रख।
यीशु मसीह के नाम में, आमीन।”
