God Gives Power, Not Money

 God Gives Power, Not Money

Deuteronomy 8:18

1. God Gives Ability, Not Currency

  • God doesn’t drop coins from heaven.

  • He gives you strength to work, wisdom to plan, skills to create, and opportunities to use.

  • Example: A farmer — God doesn’t give the harvest directly. He gives rain, soil, seeds, and ability to till.

2. Wealth is Created Through God’s Gift in You

  • Money is a result of the power God has deposited in us.

  • Education, talents, business ideas, and even health are God’s “wealth power.”

  • Example: Joseph in Egypt — God gave him wisdom to manage resources, and that brought wealth to the whole nation.

3. Wealth Must Fulfill God’s Purpose

  • The reason God gives power is not for selfish living but to establish His covenant.

  • Wealth with God’s blessing carries responsibility — to help others and to support Kingdom work.

Illustration

If someone gives you a fishing rod instead of a fish, they are giving you power to feed yourself for life.

  • God doesn’t just give money (fish).

  • He gives you gifts, skills, wisdom (fishing rod) so that you can produce wealth again and again.

Conclusion

  • Don’t just pray for money — pray for God’s power to create wealth.

  • Recognize your health, talents, wisdom, and opportunities as God’s gift.

  • When you use them faithfully, prosperity will follow, and God’s covenant will be established through you.
