Many
people get the wrong idea about the Christian life. In our excitement about
Jesus, we expect never to have to deal with our same old habits, problems, or
temptations. Often, more mature Christians advance this notion, hiding their
own personal struggles and dilemmas. Many believe they should live a flawless
life. How often do we say, "Oh, I just can't get it right! Am I really saved at all? Don't you hate me
by now God?" The truth of God's grace throughout life is one that is
difficult for humans to understand because we naturally rely on our works. We
must understand that the walk of faith is just that--a walk. It is a
progressive journey with Jesus as our guide.
Other heroes in God’s gallery of
faith are mentioned Hebrew 11:32-40. Many of
them died violent deaths-persecuted, imprisoned, and stone. Some were slain by
the sword and others torn apart by wild beasts. Many of them died, not yet
having received by faith the promises of God. Four times the people were told
that “the just shall live by faith” (Hebrew 10:38). In this eleventh chapter of
Hebrews we see a great host who were justified by faith and learned the secret
of how to live by faith. Like the Tribulation saints, “they did not love their
lives to the death” (Revelation 12:11)

परमेश्वर की आस्था की गैलरी में अन्य नायकों का उल्लेख इब्रानी 11: 32-40 है। उनमें से कई हिंसक मौतों में मारे गए-सताए गए, कैद किए गए, और पत्थर मारे गए। कुछ को तलवार से मार दिया गया और अन्य को जंगली जानवरों ने काट दिया। उनमें से बहुत से मर गए, अभी तक परमेश्वर के वादों पर विश्वास नहीं किया गया है। चार बार लोगों को बताया गया था कि
"सिर्फ विश्वास से जीना होगा"
(इब्रानी 10:38) । इब्रियों के इस ग्यारहवें अध्याय में हम एक महान यजमान को देखते हैं जो विश्वास से न्यायसंगत थे और विश्वास से जीवन जीने का रहस्य सीखा। क्लेश संतों की तरह,
"वे अपने जीवन को मौत से प्यार नहीं करते थे"
(प्रकाशितवाक्य 12:11) ।
