The Holy Spirit: His Ministry


Christian have great and many privileges as children of God because of who the Holy Spirit is, and what He can do in the life of every believer. It is most important to realize that the Holy Spirit is fully God. The deity of the Holy Spirit affirmed in the Scriptures. He is declared to be God:


1.    By Peter, when Ananias and Sapphira tried to deceive God by bringing a portion of an offering, pretending to bring all of it. “But Peter said, ‘Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself?... You have not lied to men but to God’“ (Acts 5:1-4). When Ananias lied to the Holy Spirit, He therefore lied to God. The Holy Spirit is God according to the scriptures.
2.    By the apostle Paul, when he wrote to “the church of God which is at Corinth” (1 Corinthians. 1:2), asking them a most important question: “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (1 Corinthians. 3:16). Every New Testament church is composed of born-again, Spirit-baptized believers. The building is not the church, it is the sanctuary where the church meets to worship; and God the Holy Spirit indwells each believer in the church. “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” (1 Corinthians. 6:19, 20). Yes, your physical body is the temple of God, the Holy Spirit.
3.    By the attributes ascribed to the Holy Spirit that are also ascribed to God the Father and God the Son:
a.    Omnipresence- He is everywhere present in God universe (Psalm. 139:7-10)
b.    Omnipotence- He has all power in God’s universe (Luke.1:35).
c.    Omniscience- He has all knowledage in God’s universe (John 14:26; 1 Corinthians. 2:10, 11).
Yes, the Holy Spirit is God, and we should desire everything He has for us.
            This study on the Holy Spirit and His ministry will help you recognize your great need of His Christ-exalting presence in your life. Jesus said, “He [the Holy Spirit will glorify me, for He will take of what is mine {receive My teaching} and declared it to you” (John 16:14). The Holy Spirit came to glorify Christ in and through every child of God. If He is not exalting Christ in your life, it is because He is “grieved.” Paul said, “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were seal for the day of redemption” (Ephesians. 4:30). God the Holy Spirit is grieved by sin in the life of the believer. You are to put off life-style of the old man (the flesh) and put on the life-style of new man. Jesus said, “That which is born of flesh is flesh(first birth), and which is born of the Spirit is spirit (new spiritual birth) (John 3:6). Paul listed some of the sins that grieve the Holy Spirit in the lives of the believers (Ephesians 4:22-32). Search your life and, if you find any sin therein, practise 1 John 1:9. As you confess your sins, call them by name; repent and forsake them, that you may be filled with the Holy Spirit of power and joy (Acts 1:8)

3. पवित्र आत्मा को बताए गए गुणों के अनुसार, जो पिता और परमेश्वर पुत्र को भी दिए गए हैं:
a) सर्व-भूत- वह परमेश्वर ब्रह्मांड में हर जगह मौजूद है (भजन 139: 7-10)
b) सर्वसक्तिमान- उसके पास परमेश्वर के ब्रह्मांड में सभी शक्ति है (लुका 1: 35) ।
c) सर्व-ज्ञानी- परमेश्वर के ब्रह्मांड में उनके सभी ज्ञान हैं (यहून्ना 14:26; 1 कुरिन्थियों 2:10, 11) ।
हाँ, पवित्र आत्मा परमेश्वर है, और हमें वह सब कुछ चाहिए जो उसके पास है।
पवित्र आत्मा और उनके काम के इस अध्ययन से आपको उनके जीवन में उनकी मसीह की उपस्थिति की महान आवश्यकता को पहचानने में मदद मिलेगी। यीशु ने कहा, "वह [पवित्र आत्मा मुझे गौरवान्वित करेगा, क्योंकि वह मेरा जो है वह लेगा {मेरा उपदेश प्राप्त करता है} और इसे तुम्हें घोषित किया" (यूहन्ना 16:14) । पवित्र आत्मा मसीह में और परमेश्वर के प्रत्येक बच्चे के द्वारा महिमा करने के लिए आया था। यदि वह आपके जीवन में मसीह को नहीं छोड़ रहा है, तो इसका कारण यह है कि वह " दुख" है। पोलुश ने कहा, "और परमेश्वर की पवित्र आत्मा को दुख मत डो, जिसके द्वारा आप छुटकारे के दिन के लिए सील थे" (इफिसियों। 4:30) । परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा आस्तिक के जीवन में पाप से दुखी है। आपको पुराने आदमी (मांस) की जीवन-शैली को छोड़ना होगा और नए आदमी की जीवन-शैली पर ध्यान देना होगा। यीशु ने कहा, “जो शरीर में जन्मा है वह शरीर (पहला जन्म) होता है, और जो आत्मा से जन्मा है वह आत्मा (नया आध्यात्मिक जन्म) है (यूहन्ना 3: 6) । पौलुस ने कुछ ऐसे पापों को सूचीबद्ध किया जो विश्वासियों के जीवन में पवित्र आत्मा को दुखित करते हैं (इफिसियों 4: 22-32)। अपने जीवन में तलाश करें, और यदि कोई पाप मिले तो (1 यूहन्ना 3: 6) का मनन करें। जैसा कि आप अपने पापों को स्वीकार करते हैं, उन्हें नाम से पुकारें; पश्चाताप और उन्हें त्याग दें, कि आप शक्ति और आनंद की पवित्र आत्मा से भरे हो सकते हैं (प्रेरितों के काम 1:8).

F.  पवित्र आत्मा का कार्य: परिपूर्ण प्रेम (1 कुरिन्थियों 13:1-13)
