The Ministry of the Holy Spirit: The Helper

(John 14:15-17)

                                                                   

“I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper” (v.16). “Parakletos” is the Greek word used four times in the Gospel of John, and is translated “Helper.” The word means, “one called alongside,” i.e., to take the place of Jesus. The Lord Jesus was the first helper sent by the Father; “He will give you another Helper” (v.16). Now the Father would give the disciples the Holy Spirit (Paraclete) to “help” them and all believers to be with them in the absence of Christ. The disciples were sorrowing because Jesus told them that he would go away, and they could not go with Him them. He said; “Let not your heart be troubled... I go to prepare a place for you...... I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:1-3).

1)    The Helper will “abide with you forever... and will be in you” (vv.16, 17). Let this fact comfort you in these days of trials and tribulations. Paul said, “We also glory in tribulations... because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us” (Romans 5:3-5). The Helper has been given to all the believers to fill our hearts with the love of God.

2)    The Helper will sent by the Father, in the name of Jesus, to take His place and continue to teach His disciples all things. He would also cause them to remember all that Jesus taught them, so that they could give us the complete Word of God (John 14:26; 2Peter 1:12).

3)    The Helper, “whom I shall send to you from Father,” was sent to “testify of me” (John 15:26). For almost two thousand years the Holy Spirit has motivated believers to give testimony to the saving and keeping power of the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 8:29-40). And the Helper will continue to fill obedient believers with power to share their faith with the lost (Acts1:8)

4)    “When He [the Helper] has come” (John 16:7-15): -

a)    He will convict of sin, of righteousness, and of judgement;

b)    He will guide you into all truth;

c)    He will show you things to come;

d)    He will glorify Christ;

e)    He will take the things of Christ, and show it to you.

Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would take His doctrine and guide the apostles as they recorded what He taught. He would help them to remember, and show them thins yet to come (Acts 1:1, 2). On the Day of Pentecost the Helper began His ministry of evangelizing the world and guiding the apostles as they wrote the New Testament. He has continued to evangelize the world and to guide believers as they study God’s Word, helping them to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus. He will continue His great ministry until Jesus come to rapture the church (1 Thessalonians.4:13-18)

"मैं पिता से प्रार्थना करूंगा, और वह आपको एक और सहायक देगा" (v.16)। "पैराकालेटोस" यूहन्ना के सुसमाचार में चार बार इस्तेमाल किया जाने वाला यूनानी शब्द है, और इसका अनुवाद "सहायक" है। इस शब्द का अर्थ है, "एक व्यक्ति को बुलाया जाना," अर्थात, यीशु की जगह लेने के लिए। प्रभु यीशु, पिता द्वारा भेजा गया पहला सहायक था; "वह तुम्हें एक और सहायक देगा" (v.16)। अब पिता चेले को पवित्र आत्मा (पैरासिटेट) उन्हें और मसीह के अभाव में उनके साथ रहने के लिए सभी विश्वासियों को "मदद" करने के लिए देंगे। चेले दुखी हो रहे थे क्योंकि यीशु ने उनसे कहा था कि वह चला जाएगा, और वे उनके साथ नहीं जा सकते थे। उसने कहा; “अपने दिल को परेशान मत होने दो… मैं तुम्हारे लिए एक जगह तैयार करने जाता हूं …… मैं फिर से आऊंगा और मै तुम्हे खुद लेने आऊंगा; जहां मैं हूं, वहां तुम भी हो'' (यूहन्ना 14: 1-3)।

1) सहायक "हमेशा के लिए आपके साथ रहेगा ... और आप में रहेगा" (vv.16, 17) । इस तथ्य को आप परीक्षण और क्लेश के इन दिनों में आराम देता है। पौलुस ने कहा, "हम क्लेशों में भी गौरव करते हैं ... क्योंकि परमेश्‍वर का प्रेम हमारे हृदय में पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा डाला गया है जो हमें दिया गया था" (रोमियों 5: 3-5) । परमेश्‍वर के प्यार से हमारे दिलों को भरने के लिए सभी विश्वासियों को सहायक दिया गया है।

2) सहायक को पिता के द्वारा, यीशु के नाम पर, उसकी जगह लेने के लिए भेजा जाएगा और अपने चेले को सभी चीजें सिखाना जारी रखेगा। वह उन सभी को याद रखने का कारण भी होगा जो यीशु ने उन्हें सिखाए थे, ताकि वे हमें परमेश्वर का पूरा वचन दे सकें (यूहन्ना 14:26; 2 पतरस 1:12) ।

3) सहायक, "जिसे मैं तुम्हें पिता के पास से भेजूंगा, मुझे गवाही देने के लिए" भेजा गया था (यूहन्ना 15:26) । लगभग दो हजार वर्षों के लिए पवित्र आत्मा ने विश्वासियों को प्रभु यीशु मसीह की गवाह बना रखा और शक्ति देने के लिए प्रेरित किया (प्रेरितों के काम 8: 29-40) । और सहायक खोए हुए लोगों के साथ अपने विश्वास को साझा करने के लिए आज्ञाकारी विश्वासियों को भरना जारी रखेगा (प्रेरितों के काम 1:8)

4) "जब वह [सहायक] आया है" (यूहन्ना 16:7-15) : -

a) वह पाप का दोषी होगा, धार्मिकता का और न्याय का;

b) वह आपको सभी सच्चाई में मार्गदर्शन करेगा;

c) वह आपको आने वाली चीजें दिखाएगा;

d) वह मसीह की महिमा करेगा;

e) वह मसीह की बातों को लेगा, और तुम्हें दिखाएगा।

यीशु ने कहा कि पवित्र आत्मा अपने सिद्धांत को ले जाएगा और प्रेरितों को मार्गदर्शन करेगा क्योंकि उन्होंने जो पढ़ाया था उसे दर्ज किया था। वह उन्हें याद करने में मदद करेगा, और आने के लिए उन्हें अभी तक दिखाने के लिए काम करेगा (प्रेरितों के काम 1:1, 2) । पेंटेकोस्ट के दिन सहायक ने दुनिया को इकट्ठा करने और प्रेरितों का मार्गदर्शन करने के लिए उनका सेवकाई शुरू किया क्योंकि उन्होंने नया नियम लिखा था। उन्होंने दुनिया को इकट्ठा करना और विश्वासियों का मार्गदर्शन करना जारी रखा है क्योंकि वे परमेश्वर के वचन का अध्ययन करते हैं, जिससे उन्हें यीशु की कृपा और ज्ञान में वृद्धि करने में मदद मिलती है। वह अपने महान मंत्रालय को तब तक जारी रखेगा जब तक यीशु कलीसिया को खत्म करने के लिए नहीं आता (1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 4: 13-18)
