III. A- Fear, Constructive and Destructive

Fear, Constructive and Destructive (Matthew 10:24-31)-

Jesus said to His fearful disciples, ”do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul” (v.28). This is destructive fear. Jesus warned them that they would persecuted for the preaching the gospel, and would have no physical defense. He said, “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves” (vv.16-23). The apostles suffered severe persecution; indeed, nearly all the apostles were put to death. They could have denied their faith and live-but they refused.

        Consider these live great biblical saints who trusted God and overcame fear, even in the face of death:

1)      Moses chose “rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasure of sin….. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king” (Heb. 11:25-27).

2)      The three Hebrew children, because of their faith, were unafraid of Nebuchadnezzar and his fiery furnace (Dan.3:16-18).

3)      Denial was not afraid of the decree of King Darius and the den of lions. By faith he defied the king command, knowing that he would be cast into a den of hungry lions. Like his three Hebrew friends, he was courageous (Dan.6:1-28).

4)      Stephen, one of the first deacons, “full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people” (Acts 6:8). He was first Christian to suffer a martyr’s death for exalting Christ. Stephan died on his knees, stoned by the enemies of Jesus. Unafraid, he prayed, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin” (Acts 7:54-60).

5)      Paul wrote to young Timothy from Rome about his own coming death: “For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2Tim.4:6, 7). In his letter to the church at Philippi, he said, ”For to me, to live is Christ, and die is gain” (Phil.1:21). By faith Paul was not afraid of death; to it would be eternal gain.

There are two elements that will deliver you from destructive fear, whether fear of death or life, fear failure or loss, fear of people or position, or fear of rank or power. These elements are

1). Faith. You cannot trust God and be fearful at the same time. The psalmists said, “Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God (I will praise His word), in God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?” (Ps.56:3, 4). Sudden fear gripped the psalmists for a moment, then he cried, “Whenever I am afraid….. “At the moment fear grips you, turn to God in faith. The psalmist went on to say “I will trust in You.” When faith came to him, he was able to say, “I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?” You cannot trust God and worry.

Paul tells us to take “the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one” (Eph.6:16), and ability is there the moment you lift up the shield. Fear is one of the Satan’s fiery darts. The shield of faith will extinguish it.

2). Love. “There is no fear in love. But perfect love casts out fear” (1John 4:18). There is but one perfect love the love of God. Let the Holy Spirit fill your heart with God’s perfect love and be no room for destructive fear (Rom.5:5)

With your faith in God and heart  filled with his love, you are elements necessary to give you victory over destructive fear.

Now let us examine constructive or reverential fear. “But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (v.28).  Some believe Jesus telling us here to fear Satan, but does not have this kind of power. Only God has the power and right to cast both soul and body into hell. Satan is a defeated foe. James urges us to “summit to God resist the devil and he will flee from you” (James 4:7). When our live committed to God, we can resist Satan by faith, actually causing him to flee from us. We are to fear our holy God with a reverential fear- fear that bow in awe as worship and praise Him. Remembering, “There is no [no destructive] fear in love” (1John 4:18). Perfect love produces reverential fear. We are to worship, praise and exalt God in holy fear.

1)। विश्वास। आप परमेश्वर पर भरोसा नहीं कर सकते हैं और एक ही समय में भयभीत हो कर। भजनहारों ने कहा, “जब भी मैं डरता हूँ, मैं तुम पर भरोसा करूँगा। परमेश्वर में (मैं उनके वचन की प्रशंसा करूंगा), परमेश्वर में मैंने अपना भरोसा रखा है; मुझे डर नहीं लगेगा। शरीर मेरा क्या कर सकता है?” (Ps.56: 3, 4)। अचानक डर ने एक पल के लिए भजनकारों को जकड़ लिया, फिर वह चिल्लाया, "जब भी मुझे डर लगता है ... .." इस समय डर आपको पकड़ लेता है, विश्वास में परमेश्वर की ओर मुड़ें। भजनहार ने कहा "मैं तुम पर भरोसा करूंगा।" जब विश्वास उसके पास आया, तो वह कहने में सक्षम हो गया, “मुझे डर नहीं लगता। शरीर मेरा क्या कर सकता है? ” आप परमेश्वर पर भरोसा नहीं कर सकते डरते हुए।

पौलुस हमें बताता है की "विश्वास की कवच लेने के लिए कहता है जिसके साथ आप दुष्टों के सभी उग्र डार्ट्स को बुझाने में सक्षम होंगे" (इफिसियों 6: 16), और क्षमता वह क्षण है जब आप कवच को उठाते हैं। डर शैतान के विचारों में से एक है। विश्वास की कवच इसे बुझा देगी।

2)। प्यार। “प्यार में कोई डर नहीं है। लेकिन सच्चा प्यार डर को निकाल देता है”(1 योहना 4:18)। एक परिपूर्ण प्रेम है- परमेश्वर का प्रेम। पवित्र आत्मा को परमेश्वर के पूर्ण प्रेम से अपना दिल भरने दो और विनाशकारी डर के लिए कोई जगह नहीं है (रोमियो 5: 5)

परमेश्वर में आपके विश्वास और उनके प्रेम से भरे हृदय के साथ, आप विनाशकारी डर पर विजय पाने के लिए आवश्यक तत्व हैं।

अब हम रचनात्मक या श्रद्धा डर की जांच करते हैं। "लेकिन उसने डारो जो आपके आत्मा और शरीर दोनों को नरक में नष्ट करने में सक्षम है" (v.28)। कुछ लोगों का मानना ​​है कि यीशु शैतान को डराने के लिए हमें यहाँ बता रहे हैं, लेकिन शैतान के पास इस तरह की शक्ति नहीं है। आत्मा और शरीर दोनों को नरक में डालने की शक्ति केवल परमेश्वर के पास है। शैतान एक पराजित दुश्मन है। जेम्स हमसे आग्रह करता है कि " परमेश्वर के सम्मुख शैतान का विरोध करें और वह आप से भाग जाएगा" (याकूब 4: 7)। जब हमारा जीना परमेश्‍वर के लिए प्रतिबद्ध होता है, तो हम शैतान को विश्‍वास से रोक सकते हैं, असल में उससे वह हमसे दूर हो जाता है। हम अपने पवित्र परमेश्वर को श्रद्धा से डरते हैं- उस डर से, जो आराधना के रूप में विस्मय में झुकता है और उसकी स्तुति करता है। याद रखें, "प्यार में कोई [विनाशकारी] डर नहीं है" (1 योहना 4:18)। सच्चा प्रेम श्रद्धा डर उत्पन्न करता है। हम पवित्र भय में परमेश्‍वर की आराधना, स्तुति और उपासना करते हैं।
