God’s provision and faithfulness during difficult times.

God’s provision and faithfulness during difficult times.

Here’s a short sermon outline (about 7–10 minutes) with a suggested Bible passage and points:

Sermon Title: “God Will Provide”

Main Scripture: Matthew 6:31-33 (NIV)
"So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

1. God Knows Our Needs (v. 32)

  • Jesus clearly says, “Your heavenly Father knows that you need them.”

  • He knows our financial struggles, family responsibilities, and daily pressures.

  • We are not forgotten; God is watching over us.

Encouragement: You may feel like no one understands your pain—but God does.

2. Worry is Not the Solution (v. 31)

  • Jesus says, “Do not worry...” Worry steals our peace, weakens our faith.

  • Worry doesn’t solve problems, prayer and trust in God does.

Quote: “Worrying is like a rocking chair—it gives you something to do but gets you nowhere.”

3. Priority Brings Provision (v. 33)

  • “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness...”

  • When we put God first in our time, work, business, and finances—He takes care of our needs.

  • He blesses what is surrendered to Him.

Examples

  • Think of Elijah and the widow in 1 Kings 17: Even in famine, God provided through a small jar of oil and flour.

  • Philippians 4:19“My God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.”

Closing Encouragement

  • You may not have plenty, but you have a Provider.

  • Keep trusting, working honestly, and honoring God—He will open new doors in His time.

  • Let's remind ourselves: “Jehovah Jireh – The Lord will provide.
