The survivors

Let’s look closely at what the Bible says about the survivors — those who live through the Tribulation and enter the Millennial Kingdom in their mortal bodies.

👥 1. Who Are the Survivors?

After the Great Tribulation and Jesus’ Second Coming, not everyone on earth will be destroyed.
There will be a remnant of believing people — those who trusted in Christ and did not take the mark of the beast (Revelation 13:16–18).

These survivors include:

  • Believing Israelites (Jews) who recognize Jesus as Messiah at His return (Zechariah 12:10).

  • Believing Gentiles (from all nations) who helped God’s people and did not follow the Antichrist (Matthew 25:31–46).

These are the ones Jesus calls “the sheep” in the parable of the Sheep and Goats judgment.

“Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”Matthew 25:34

🏞️ 2. What Happens to the Survivors?

The survivors will enter the Millennial Kingdom in their human (mortal) bodies — not glorified bodies like the resurrected saints.

They will:

  • Live long lives (Isaiah 65:20–22).

  • Marry and have children — their families will multiply over generations during the 1,000 years.

  • Experience prosperity, peace, and health under Christ’s rule.

  • Still possess a sin nature, but sin will be restrained by Christ’s perfect justice.

“There shall be no more an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days... for the child shall die an hundred years old.”Isaiah 65:20

🌏 3. Population Growth During the Millennium

Because of peace, righteousness, and ideal living conditions, the population will increase greatly.

  • The children of these survivors will fill the earth once again (Isaiah 11:9).

  • They will be taught the ways of the Lord (Micah 4:2).

  • Yet, each person must choose to obey Christ from the heart — faith will still be personal, not automatic.

⚖️ 4. Their Spiritual Condition

Even in the perfect reign of Jesus, some future generations (descendants of the survivors) will rebel inwardly.

  • Outwardly, they must obey because Christ rules with a rod of iron (Psalm 2:9).

  • But at the end of the 1,000 years, when Satan is released, some will join his rebellion (Revelation 20:7–9).

  • This shows that human hearts still need regeneration — even in paradise conditions, only those truly born again will remain faithful.

👑 5. Their Relationship With the Glorified Saints

During this time, there will be two types of people on earth:

Type Nature Role
Glorified Saints Immortal, resurrected (Revelation 20:4–6) Reigning with Christ, teaching, judging
Survivors & their descendants Mortal, physical bodies Living, working, marrying, repopulating the earth

Both groups will live together on the same earth — but the glorified saints will serve as leaders, teachers, and administrators under Christ’s command.

🌅 6. A World of Perfect Governance

The survivors and their descendants will experience what humanity has longed for since Eden:

  • No oppression or corruption.

  • Justice for all people.

  • The visible presence of Christ the King.

  • A world where truth and holiness are the norm, not the exception.

“They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord.”Isaiah 11:9
