12- THE WORLD OF EVIL SPIRITS OR SATAN

    Kingdom means the area or territory  or domain ruled by a king. Kingdom can be broadly classified as follows:


Classes of Evil Spirits:


    The departed souls of human beings are never called evil spirit. Evil spirit refers to Lucifer, his sub angels and the souls of nonhuman hybrids of Genesis 6:1-4. Hybrid being form by the  intercourse of angelic being with the daughter of man. They are called Giants in the Bible. Their souls are classed under evil spirit known as demon (Luke 8:30-31 and in the book of Enoch). There are many categories of evil spirits from lower level to higher level to whom Paul call them as principalities in Eph 3:10, 6:12, Col 1:16, 2:15, Rom 8:38, Titus 3:1. Lucifer is the head of those principalities.


Note: Revelation 9:1-11 also talk about countless evil spirits bound under the earth which will be released at end time to bring judgment upon Christ rejecting world. We do not have problem with these bound evil spirits today.


Headquarter of Evil spirits:

    First of all we shall learn what bottomless pit is. Abussos is a Greek word, which means bottomless pit, depthless pit, Abyss.

Rom 10:7 “or ‘Who will descend into the Bottomless Pit (Abussos) ?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).

    We have already made it very clear in the previous lessons that Jesus went down to Sheol or Hades just after His death on the cross. Now note the above verse carefully, what does it says about Christ descent into the underworld. It says; “Into the bottomless pit”. So, Sheol or Hades is also called bottomless pit or Abyss or depthless pit. Therefore, you should not confuse about what is bottomless pit as used in our English Bible.


Isa 14:12 “How you are fallen from Heaven, O Lucifer! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! 14:13 You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’ 14:15 ​But you are brought down to Sheol, to the far reaches of the pit.


Rev 9:11 They have as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit. His name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek he is called Apollyon.


    Revelation chapter 9:1-10 talks about how the gate of bottomless pit will be opened at the end time to release the wicked spirits on earth to bring judgment upon the wicked people. The wicked spirits will have a leader, named as Abbadon or Apollyon. So, Sheol/Hades/bottomless pit, which is under the earth is the home and center of operation of Satan. We have already proved that Sheol or Hades have chambers, so there are chamber for the wicked spirits. All kind of wicked activities carried out on earth among people is planned and come out from Sheol. Lucifer is the head planner and is the god of the under world sitting on his throne.


Antichrist’s evil spirit:


Rev 11:7 And when they have finished their testimony, the beast that rises from the bottomless pit will make war on them and conquer them and kill them.


Rev 17:8 The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to rise from the bottomless pit and go to destruction. ….


    The beast in the above verse is the Antichrist of the end time. Antichrist will be a normal person like us coming out from among man (Dan 9:27, 7:11, Rev 19:20), but he will be possessed by the evil spirit to carry out the plan of Lucifer in the world.  So, when it say that the beast shall rise out from the bottomless pit means the Antichrist shall be possessed by evil spirit coming out from Sheol or Hades or bottomless pit. Therefore; Sheol or Hades or bottomless pit is the Headquarter of the dark world from where Lucifer is on the throne carrying out all evil activities in the universe.


Evil spirit works in the Heaven-I and Heaven-II:


Eph 2:2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience.


Eph 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

Dan 10:13 The prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days, but Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I was left there with the kings of Persia. Dan 10:20 Then he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? But now I will return to fight against the prince of Persia; and when I go out, behold, the prince of Greece will come.
