“A House Divided Cannot Stand”

Introduction / भूमिका

  • Jesus, in His wisdom, addressed the Pharisees who accused Him of working through the power of Satan. यीशु ने अपनी बुद्धि में, फ़रीसियों को उत्तर दिया जिन्होंने उन पर शैतान की शक्ति से काम करने का आरोप लगाया।

  • Instead of getting defensive, He spoke a truth that applies to kingdoms, nations, families, churches, and even our own hearts: बचाव करने के बजाय, उन्होंने एक ऐसा सत्य कहा जो राज्यों, राष्ट्रों, परिवारों, कलीसियाओं और यहाँ तक कि हमारे अपने हृदयों पर भी लागू होता है:

“Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand.” (Matthew 12:25) “हर एक राज्य जो अपने ही विरुद्ध फूट डाला जाता है, उजाड़ हो जाता है; और कोई नगर या घर जो अपने ही विरुद्ध फूट डाला जाता है, स्थिर न रहेगा।” (मत्ती 12:25)

  • Today, we will learn the danger of division and the blessing of unity under God’s Spirit. आज हम विभाजन के खतरे और परमेश्वर की आत्मा के अधीन एकता के आशीर्वाद के बारे में सीखेंगे।

1. The Principle of Division / विभाजन का सिद्धांत


  • Division destroys, unity builds. विभाजन नाश करता है, एकता निर्माण करती है।

  • Jesus explained that Satan would never fight against himself because that would mean the fall of his own kingdom. यीशु ने समझाया कि शैतान कभी अपने ही विरुद्ध नहीं लड़ेगा क्योंकि ऐसा करने का अर्थ होगा उसके राज्य का पतन।

  • This principle is universal यह सिद्धांत सार्वभौमिक है:

    • Nations: “If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.” (Mark 3:24) राष्ट्र: “यदि कोई राज्य अपने ही विरुद्ध फूट डाला जाता है तो वह राज्य स्थिर नहीं रह सकता।” (मरकुस 3:24)

    • Families: “No city or house divided against itself will stand.” (Matthew 12:25b) परिवार: “कोई नगर या घर जो अपने ही विरुद्ध फूट डाला जाता है, स्थिर न रहेगा।” (मत्ती 12:25b)

    • The Church: “I appeal to you, brothers, … that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.” (1 Corinthians 1:10) कलीसिया: “हे भाइयों, मैं आप से बिनती करता हूँ … कि तुम में फूट न हो; परन्तु एक ही मन और एक ही मत में सिद्ध हो।” (1 कुरिन्थियों 1:10)

2. The Source of Division / विभाजन का स्रोत

  • The Pharisees opposed Jesus not because of truth but because of jealousy and hardened hearts. फ़रीसीयों ने यीशु का विरोध सत्य के कारण नहीं, बल्कि जलन और कठोर मन के कारण किया।

  • Division often comes from: विभाजन अक्सर इनसे आता है:

    • Pride (Proverbs 13:10 – “By pride comes nothing but strife.”) अहंकार (नीतिवचन 13:10 – “जहाँ अभिमान होता है, वहाँ झगड़ा भी होता है।”)

    • Selfish Ambition (James 3:16 – “Where envy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.”) स्वार्थी महत्वाकांक्षा (याकूब 3:16 – “जहाँ डाह और स्वार्थ की प्रवृत्ति होती है, वहाँ अराजकता और सब प्रकार का बुरा काम होता है।”)

    • The Enemy’s Work – The devil loves to sow discord in families, churches, and communities. शत्रु का काम – शैतान परिवारों, कलीसियाओं और समाज में फूट बोना पसंद करता है।

3. The Power of Unity / एकता की शक्ति

  • Where unity is present, God commands blessing. जहाँ एकता होती है, वहाँ परमेश्वर आशीर्वाद देता है।

    • “Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!” (Psalm 133:1) “देखो, क्या ही अच्छा और मनोहर है जब भाई मिलकर रहते हैं!” (भजन संहिता 133:1)

    • “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” (Matthew 18:20) “क्योंकि जहाँ दो या तीन मेरे नाम से इकट्ठे होते हैं, वहाँ मैं उनके बीच में होता हूँ।” (मत्ती 18:20)

  • The early church experienced great power because they were united: प्रारंभिक कलीसिया ने महान सामर्थ का अनुभव किया क्योंकि वे एकजुट थे:

    • “All the believers were together and had everything in common.” (Acts 2:44) “सब विश्वासियों ने एक साथ रहकर सब कुछ साझा किया।” (प्रेरितों के काम 2:44)

  • Unity doesn’t mean uniformity—it means being joined in purpose, Spirit, and love. एकता का अर्थ समानता नहीं है—इसका अर्थ है उद्देश्य, आत्मा और प्रेम में जुड़ जाना।

4. Application for Today / आज के लिए अनुप्रयोग

  • In Families: Husbands, wives, children must walk in love and forgiveness. परिवार में: पति, पत्नी, और बच्चे प्रेम और क्षमा में चलें।

  • In Churches: We must not let small differences cause big divisions. Christ is our center. कलीसियाओं में: हमें छोटे मतभेदों को बड़े विभाजन का कारण नहीं बनने देना चाहिए। मसीह हमारा केंद्र है।

  • In Nations: A divided nation weakens itself; true healing comes when people seek God. राष्ट्रों में: एक विभाजित राष्ट्र स्वयं को कमजोर करता है; सच्चा चंगाई तब आती है जब लोग परमेश्वर को खोजते हैं।

  • In Our Own Lives: A divided heart cannot serve God fully. हमारे जीवन में: एक विभाजित हृदय परमेश्वर की पूरी रीति से सेवा नहीं कर सकता।Jesus said: “No one can serve two masters … You cannot serve God and money.” (Matthew 6:24) यीशु ने कहा: “कोई भी दो स्वामियों की सेवा नहीं कर सकता … तुम परमेश्वर और धन दोनों की सेवा नहीं कर सकते।” (मत्ती 6:24)

5. The Role of the Father as Head / पिता की भूमिका: घर का प्रधान

  • God’s design is that the family should walk under one vision. परमेश्वर की योजना है कि परिवार एक ही दृष्टि में चले।

  • Just as Christ is the head of the church, so the father is the head of the home. The church does not make its own plans apart from Christ, and in the same way the family must not walk in separate ideas apart from the father’s God-given leadership. जैसे मसीह कलीसिया का सिर है, वैसे ही पिता घर का सिर है। कलीसिया मसीह से अलग अपनी योजनाएँ नहीं बनाती, वैसे ही परिवार को पिता के परमेश्वर-प्रदत्त नेतृत्व से अलग अलग विचारों में नहीं चलना चाहिए।

  • “For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church.” (Ephesians 5:23) “क्योंकि पति पत्नी का सिर है जैसे कि मसीह कलीसिया का सिर है।” (इफिसियों 5:23)

  • When wife and children follow the father’s instructions, the family remains united in one vision. जब पत्नी और बच्चे पिता की आज्ञाओं का पालन करते हैं, तो परिवार एक ही दृष्टि में जुड़ा रहता है।

  • Division arises when children or wife follow their own separate ideas against the father. This breaks unity and weakens the family. विभाजन तब उत्पन्न होता है जब बच्चे या पत्नी पिता के विरुद्ध अपनी अलग-अलग सोच का पालन करते हैं। इससे एकता टूटती है और परिवार कमजोर हो जाता है।

  • “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.” (Ephesians 6:1) “हे बालको, प्रभु में अपने माता-पिता की आज्ञा का पालन करो, क्योंकि यह उचित है।” (इफिसियों 6:1)

  • “Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.” (Colossians 3:18) “हे पत्नियों, अपने-अपने पति के आधीन रहो, जैसा कि प्रभु में उचित है।” (कुलुस्सियों 3:18)


Conclusion / निष्कर्ष

  • Jesus proved that His power was from the Spirit of God, not from Satan. यीशु ने सिद्ध किया कि उनकी सामर्थ शैतान से नहीं, बल्कि परमेश्वर की आत्मा से थी।

  • His words echo through history: “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined.” उनके वचन इतिहास में गूंजते हैं: “हर एक राज्य जो अपने ही विरुद्ध फूट डाला जाता है, उजाड़ हो जाता है।”

  • Let us choose unity: in our homes, in our churches, in our hearts. आइए हम एकता चुनें: अपने घरों में, अपनी कलीसियाओं में, अपने हृदयों में।

  • Because when God’s people are united in Him, no power of darkness can stand against them. क्योंकि जब परमेश्वर के लोग उसमें एकजुट होते हैं, तो अंधकार की कोई भी शक्ति उनके विरुद्ध स्थिर नहीं रह सकती।

It was not a place of life, but a place of death, decay, and hopelessness.
