Text: Isaiah 38:21–22
Theme: The harmony of divine healing, human action, and worship restoration. परमेश्वर की चंगाई, मानव प्रयास, और आराधना की पुनःस्थापना का समन्वय

Introduction:

Beloved, today we look into a powerful moment in the life of King Hezekiah — a man who was at the edge of death, cried out to God, and received not only healing but a sign of restored fellowship. In just two verses, we discover a profound lesson on the process of healing, the purpose of signs, and the priority of worship.

प्रिय भाइयों और बहनों, आज हम राजा हिजकिय्याह के जीवन की एक गहरी और अद्भुत घटना पर ध्यान करेंगे — एक राजा जो मृत्यु के द्वार पर था, जिसने परमेश्वर से प्रार्थना की, और न केवल चंगाई पाई, बल्कि परमेश्वर की आराधना में लौटने का एक चिन्ह भी प्राप्त किया। ये दो पद हमें चंगाई के तरीके, विश्वास के चिन्ह, और आराधना की महत्ता सिखाते हैं।

I. Divine Healing Often Works Through Human Means परमेश्वर चंगाई देता है, लेकिन अक्सर मानवीय साधनों के द्वारा

“Let them take a lump of figs, and lay it for a plaister upon the boil, and he shall recover.” (v. 21) “क्योंकि यशायाह ने कहा था, कि अंजीरों की पुल्टियां लेकर फोड़े पर लगाओ, तब वह चंगा हो जाएगा।” (पद 21)

  • Hezekiah was mortally ill. Yet God chose not to heal him instantly or supernaturally alone. हिजकिय्याह गंभीर रूप से बीमार था, परंतु परमेश्वर ने उसकी चंगाई के लिए एक साधारण उपाय बताया — अंजीर की पुल्टियां।

  • God instructed Isaiah to use a natural remedy — a poultice of figs. परमेश्‍वर ने यशायाह को एक प्राकृतिक उपचार - अंजीर की पुल्टिस - का उपयोग करने का निर्देश दिया।

  • This reminds us that faith doesn’t deny medicine — it embraces God’s wisdom in all forms. यह दिखाता है कि विश्वास का अर्थ यह नहीं कि हम उपाय न करें, बल्कि यह कि हम परमेश्वर के निर्देश अनुसार कार्य करें।

  • Application:

    • Pray for healing, but also go to the doctor. प्रार्थना करें, लेकिन इलाज भी करवाएं।

    • Trust God for provision, but also go to work. परमेश्वर पर भरोसा करें, लेकिन अपनी जिम्मेदारी निभाएं।

    • The figs didn’t heal on their own — they were effective because God blessed the method. अंजीर खुद में कोई चमत्कार नहीं थे, परमेश्वर ने उन्हें उपयोगी बनाया।

📖 James 2:17 — “Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” वैसे ही विश्वास भी, यदि कर्मों के साथ न हो, तो अपने आप में मरा हुआ है।”

II. God Encourages Our Faith with Confirming Signs परमेश्वर हमारे विश्वास को चिन्हों के द्वारा सुदृढ़ करता है

“Hezekiah also had said, What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of the Lord?” (v. 22) “हिजकिय्याह ने भी कहा था, कि कौन सा चिन्ह है जिससे जानूं कि मैं यहोवा के भवन में जाऊंगा?” (पद 22)

  • Hezekiah asked for a sign, not out of doubt, but for confirmation. हिजकिय्याह ने परमेश्वर से एक चिन्ह माँगा — यह उसकी कमजोरी नहीं, बल्कि ईमानदारी थी।

  • God didn’t rebuke him. Instead, in verses 7–8, God gives a miraculous sign: the shadow moves backward. परमेश्वर ने उसे डांटा नहीं, बल्कि आश्चर्यजनक चिन्ह दिया — धूप की छाया पीछे हटी (पद 7–8)।

  • The sign was not just for healing — it was a sign that he would return to the house of the Lord. परमेश्वर के चिन्ह हमेशा आराधना की ओर ले जाते हैं, चमत्कार की भूख नहीं बढ़ाते।

  • Application:

    • God understands our need for reassurance. परमेश्वर आपकी असुरक्षा को समझता है और आपको आश्वासन देता है।

    • When we are weak, He gives signs — not to entertain our curiosity, but to strengthen our walk. जब हम कमज़ोर होते हैं, तो वह संकेत देता है - हमारी जिज्ञासा को शांत करने के लिए नहीं, बल्कि हमारे चलने को मजबूत करने के लिए। 

    • What sign are you looking for? Is it about physical healing or restored worship? आप किस संकेत की तलाश कर रहे हैं? क्या यह शारीरिक उपचार या पुनर्स्थापित उपासना के बारे में है?

📖 Mark 16:20 — “And they went out... the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following.” प्रभु उनके साथ कार्य करता गया, और उन बातों को चिन्हों के द्वारा सिद्ध करता गया।”

III. The Ultimate Goal of Healing Is Worship चंगाई का उद्देश्य है — आराधना में लौट आना

“...that I shall go up to the house of the Lord?” ...कि मैं यहोवा के भवन में जाऊंगा?”

  • Hezekiah’s real desire wasn’t just to feel better — it was to go up to the temple. हिजकिय्याह की सबसे बड़ी इच्छा यह थी कि वह फिर से यहोवा के भवन में जा सके।

  • He wanted to worship, to thank God, and to dwell in His presence. वह आराधना करना चाहता था, परमेश्वर को धन्यवाद देना चाहता था, और उसकी उपस्थिति में रहना चाहता था।

  • True healing is not just about the body — it’s about restoring our place in God's presence. सच्ची चिकित्सा केवल शरीर के बारे में नहीं है - यह परमेश्वर की उपस्थिति में हमारे स्थान को पुनर्स्थापित करने के बारे में है।

  • Application:

    • Why do you want healing? Is it to enjoy life again — or to glorify God again? आप चंगाई क्यों चाहते हैं? क्या यह फिर से जीवन का आनंद लेने के लिए है - या फिर से परमेश्वर की महिमा करने के लिए?

    • Don’t just seek healing — seek worship. केवल उपचार की तलाश मत करो - आराधना की तलाश करो।

    • Many people get healed and forget the House of the Lord. Hezekiah longed for it. कई लोग चंगाई के बाद परमेश्वर को भूल जाते हैं, पर हिजकिय्याह का दिल आराधना की ओर था।

📖 Psalm 116:12–14 — “What shall I render unto the Lord for all His benefits toward me? I will take the cup of salvation... and pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all His people.” मैं यहोवा से उसके सब उपकारों का क्या बदला दूं?... मैं उद्धार का कटोरा उठाऊंगा... यहोवा के सम्मुख अपनी मन्नतें पूरी करूंगा।”

Conclusion:

God healed Hezekiah through figs, confirmed it with a sign, and brought him back to the temple. Likewise, God can heal you — through medicine, through miracles, and most of all, through mercy. But don’t forget the purpose of it all: to worship.

Key Question:

“If God heals me, strengthens me, or answers me — will I return to His house with thanksgiving?”

Call to Action:

  • Are you sick or weary today? Cry out to God and also use the figs — take wise action.

  • Ask Him for reassurance — He is kind to give you signs of hope.

  • And if He answers you, don’t delay — run to the house of the Lord and worship Him with all your heart.

  • सच्ची चंगाई शरीर की नहीं, आत्मा की बहाली होती है।

  • आत्मिक सन्देश:

    • क्या हम चंगाई चाहते हैं सिर्फ अपनी सुविधा के लिए? या ताकि हम फिर से आराधना कर सकें?

    • कई लोग चंगाई के बाद परमेश्वर को भूल जाते हैं, पर हिजकिय्याह का दिल आराधना की ओर था।

📖 भजन संहिता 116:12–14 — “

निष्कर्ष:

परमेश्वर ने हिजकिय्याह को अंजीर के द्वारा चंगा किया, एक चिन्ह देकर उसे आश्वस्त किया, और आराधना के लिए पुनः बुलाया। आज भी, वह हमें चंगा करता है — कभी औषधियों से, कभी चमत्कारों से, लेकिन हमेशा दया से।

प्रश्न यह है:

“यदि परमेश्वर मुझे चंगा करे, मेरी मदद करे, या मुझे आशीर्वाद दे — क्या मैं फिर से पूरे दिल से उसकी आराधना करूंगा?”

आह्वान (Call to Action):

  • क्या आप आज बीमारी या चिंता में हैं? परमेश्वर को पुकारिए — और “अंजीर” यानी उपाय भी अपनाइए।

  • क्या आप चिन्ह की प्रतीक्षा में हैं? अपने दिल को खोलिए — वह आश्वासन देने वाला परमेश्वर है।

  • और यदि उसने आपकी सुन ली — तो देरी मत कीजिए, आराधना में लौट आइए।
